Virginia Tech's Football Game at Georgia Tech Oct. 17 Will Kick at 6 p.m. EDT and be on ESPN2

The ACC announced start times and broadcast channels for its Oct. 17 football games Monday. The Hokies' game in Atlanta against Georgia Tech is slated for 6 p.m. EDT and will televised on ESPN2 (DirecTV 209).

This is the third consecutive time the Hokies' game at Georgia Tech has been a night game. The Hokies won the previous two games in 2004 and 2007. The previous two games were Thursday night ESPN telecasts.

I love this game is at night and I'm sure Dane, Winfield and Bird do as well. Big games like this were meant to be played at night, not at 11 a.m. like that day's OU-Texas game.

Oct. 17 ACC Games
Wake Forest at Clemson, Noon, Raycom
NC State at Boston College, 3:30, ABC
Virginia at Maryland, 4 p.m. ESPNUVA
VT at GT, 6 p.m., ESPN2
Miami at Central Florida, 7:30 p.m., CBS College Sports
