2009 Virginia Tech Football: East Carolina Game Thread

Virginia Tech Hokies at East Carolina Pirates, Nov 5, 2009 7:30 PM EST

Virginia Tech Hokies (5-3, 3-2) at East Carolina Pirates (5-3, 4-1)

Time: 7:45 p.m. EST
Date: Thursday, Nov. 5, 2009
Place: Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium (43,000), Greenville, NC
TV: ESPN (DirecTV 206)
Radio: XM 190, Sirius 213
Spread: Virginia Tech -13
Weather: Clear, 40 degrees

The Hokies are reeling and on a two-game losing streak. They look to get back on track in a hostile environment against regional rival East Carolina. The Pirates have lost their two games against BCS teams this year (North Carolina and West Virginia) but beat Virginia Tech last year in Charlotte. I'll be around to answer any questions and provide drunken commentary.

For a game coached by Skip

Why on earth would ESPN do that? There’s no way he can be unbiased. He’s Lou Holtz. He picked Notre Dame to play in the BCSCG.

Switching to O already?

I mean he is a nice change of pace and more power but if we’ve given up on RW already in this game…

by Casey Richey on Nov 5, 2009 8:14 PM EST reply actions

RW

probably just needs a possession off to look at the game from the sidelines with the coaches to see where the holes are.
