"Would the DC jobs at Georgia or FSU really help Foster's name recognition? That's debatable, and it's not as if the coaching situations at either of those programs is stable. Bottom line...is there anybody out there that really believes there's an athletic director at a major university in the nation that doesn't already know of Foster's existence and track record?"

Don't see him jumping ship for another DC gig.

I think Foster is thinking of moving up, not laterally, as he said when turning down the Sakerlina DC job 2 years ago

The only reason why Foster would leave is to head coach a top team. You are 100% right foster would never leave VT for another DC job. The question is how how much longer will Beamer will be the head coach. He is 63 now. He could retire in a few yeas go the distance and pull a bobby bowden.
