The writer known as "Heather Dinich" recently discussed her various nicknames during a chat with ACC fans. Those of you who read this site regularly (all five of you) know that she is always referred to as Annette in this space.

Here's why. Annette is employed by the four-letter network, which is owned by Disney. This originally caused me to refer to her as "everyone's favorite mouseketeer." And, of course, everyone's favorite mouseketeer was Annette Funicello.

So, there you have it. ESPN's ACC blogger is Annette on this blog. It's also why I will occasionally call Paul Johnson "Frankie". The real Annette was in Beach Blanket Bingo with Frankie Avalon. Our Annette's relationship with PJ is pretty much the same. Only with much more sizzling sexual chemistry.
