- So far I'm more impressed with Texas than Florida. The Gators have two wins over cupcakes and a hard-fought win over a rival. Texas has a win over a cupcake, a big win on the road against a Mountain West team at high altitude and a hard-fought win over a rival. Florida could easily retake the No. 1 spot with a road conference win next week against Kentucky.
- Miami makes the biggest leap in the poll, up to my No. 9 spot. The Hurricanes have two impressive conference pelts.
- I'm a big fan of Cincinnati's. Not many teams can claim two road wins against BCS opponents, including a conference game, so far.
- Hard to move Nebraska or Virginia Tech up or down after that game. Both teams stay where they were last week.
- Any teams I'm leaving out that deserve to be ranked?
- Any teams I've included that have no business being ranked?

What has VT done to be ranked in the top 15?
Get blown out and then get outplayed by Nebraska and barely escape at home?
Sorry GC, love the site and your analysis typically but this VT team just doesn’t have it. They’ll win the coastal because they dodge Clemson and FSU, but fsu or clemson would be favored over them in the champ game at this point.
that's fine
and when we lose to by miami by 21, ill move us down. probably out of the top 25. until then, go fuck yourself.

I think VT's ranking is fine.
We went toe to toe with one of the toughest teams in the nation and while the stats are lopsided, it was a close game. But this coming Miami game is a make or break.
I think you’re missing Washington. They are no slouch this season. They gave LSU a fright, destroyed Idaho and beat USC. And they have the Pac-10s best QB and linebacking corps, and potentially even receiving corps.
Submitted final ballot
Subbed Washington in for Southern Miss.
