Help VTPhreak4evr Determine the Hokies' Top 10 Plays of 2009

Our friend and video editing wizard VTPhreak4evr is putting together the Top 10 plays from Virginia Tech's 2009 season at his site, Hokie Highlights. He's put up a survey there where you can vote for what you think were the best 10 plays of the season.

Phreak has been dedicated to providing the best Hokie highlights all year and has used justin.tv to help bring live Virginia Tech sporting events to fans stationed overseas. For his commitment the least we can do is help him with his quest to name the Top 10 plays of the season.

Here are the 10 I voted for in no particular order:

  • Dyrell Roberts' TD return vs. Alabama
  • Tyrod Taylor to Danny Coale for 81 yards vs. Nebraska
  • Jarrett Boykin's TD catch (that probably wasn't) vs. Duke
  • Dorian Porch's sack and forced fumble vs. Miami
  • The blocked punt vs. Miami
  • Rashad Carmichael's pick-six vs. BC.
  • Cody Grimm's forced fumble and recovery on first play vs. NC State
  • Tyrod Taylor's completion while being tackled vs. NC State
  • Ryan Williams drags an NC State defender 19 yards
  • Tyrod Taylor to Danny Coale vs. Tennessee

No game winning catch vs. Nebraska? To me, that play was equal to if not more special than Coale’s catch.

Also, RW’s run against ECU was pretty sick.

The difference for me

was that before Coale’s catch and run we were think there’s now way in hell we were going to win that game. After that it seemed like a possibility.
