Observations from the ACCCG
- It seemed like VT pretty much had all the momentum from Gouveia-Winslow's pick-six, until the end of the game. This happened at 8:05 on the gameclock (virtually 53 minutes of Tech domination).
- Yes, FSU never threw in the towel; but they only had a three-point lead for a short while. The Hokies constantly led the Seminoles by four to eleven points, throughout the game.
- Tyrod Taylor, definitely looked the part of the MVP.
- Our rush defense showed marked improvement, even when we were forced to use rookie linebackers.
- #30, Brian Saunders (P), spent a second too-long staring at his hands, when he should have been after FSU's Bradham on that PAT block for a return.
- VT was long-overdue for a win over FSU in a title game, and that's exactly what we got,
- Are there any credible rumors floating around in the recruiting sphere, as a result of this game? What's the story on Marquise Williams?
- Once again, our turnover margin was impressive; very few careless errors made in this game, save for four minor penalties.
- Bottom line: VT had perhaps the most complete performance against a solid team, of this season.
PROUD HOKIE, UNTIL THE DAY I DIE! HOKIE, HOKIE, HOKIE HI! TECH, TECH, VPI!!!
