Hokie Ball is Headed to South Carolina

Virginia Tech received its regional assignment for the 2010 NCAA baseball tournament Monday.
The Hokies are the 2-seed in the Columbia Regional and will face The Citadel in the first round. The other two teams in Tech's regional are 1-seed South Carolina and 4-seed Bucknell.
This is Tech's first NCAA appearance since 2000 when it went 0-2 in the Fullerton regional against USC and Cal-State Fullerton under Chuck Hartman. The Hokies have not won an NCAA tournament game since 1999 when they beat Siena in an elimination game in the Winston-Salem regional.
