Beep, Beep! Wily E. Wahoo Announces Future Football Opponent

UVa must have wanted too much guarantee money to travel to McNeese State:

SAN ANTONIO - UTSA officials announced Wednesday that they have agreed to a home-and-home series with Virginia. The Roadrunners will face the Atlantic Coast Conference member Cavaliers on Nov. 2, 2013, in Charlottesville, Va., and on Nov. 8, 2014, at the Alamodome.

If you're having trouble remembering some of the great moments in UTSA football history, it's because the Roadrunners and head coach Larry Coker (yes, THE Larry Coker) won't take the field until 2011. They hope to become an FBS team by 2014, when UVa pays its visit.

I think this makes our conference look bad. The Hoos aren't even close to being the first BCS conference school to schedule a game at UTSA (Baylor, K-State, Arizona and Arizona State preceded them), but I don't like the idea of anyone in our conference scheduling road games against teams that haven't played a game yet and have aspirations of being an FBS team. I don't think Clemson or FSU are about to schedule trips to play North Dakota State in 2016.

This news is pretty easy to make fun of because it's UVa, but if it were Tech scheduling a game like this I think we'd all be pretty angry.

Well...

they tried scheduling USC and look what happened? What do you want? Some sort of middle ground compromise??? Ridiculous thoughts, as usual.

I write stuff From the Rumble Seat.
