The Citadel 4, Hokies 0 - Mid 2nd
The Citadel got a two-run homer and scored another run when Wates and Seaborn collided on a pop up to take a four-run lead in the 2nd. Wright looked off that inning and was wild in the strike zone. Hokies need to get the bats going.

Things getting chippy
The Citadel’s Altman ran over Wright at 1b after he got caught in a run-down on a pick-off play. It’s still 4-0 in the 3rd.

Hokies can't get clutch hits
No runs on four hits through four for the Hokies as they trail 4-0. Had runners on 2nd and 3rd w/ 1 out in the 4th and couldn’t get it done.

2 more runs for El Cid
Single up the middle plates two and chases the starter Justin Wright. Marc Zecchino in to pitch with Tech down 6-0 in the top of the 6th. Lots for runners left on base for the Hokies. They could easily still be in this one. We need to chase Talley, who is pitching exceptionally well after giving up hits early in innings.
