Tailgating for Boise State

The biggest game of the year is less than a month away and I just read some terrible news for fans about tailgating for the Boise State game. Did everyone see that the parking lot for the game opens up at 4 PM on game day! I was planning on starting to tailgate for the biggest game of the year at 8 AM. Does anyone have any suggestions on how/where I can tailgate close to the stadium that will be open?

Silly FedEx

My friends and I saw this as well. I called the FedEx Field ticket office and they confirmed. Though for some reason I seem to remember the guy saying the parking lots usually open four hours before kick off. So that could be something…

I’m all the way in McLean, so our worst-case scenario involves an early tailgate at home that will be moved (by a sober person) to FedEx field ~3.

I was in Atlanta last year for the Chick-fil-A kick off, and they did a GREAT job of treating us well. We were tailgating by 11, had free chick-fil-a sandwiches by 3, and just generally enjoyed the atmosphere ALL day. It boggles my mind that FedEx hasn’t attempted something similar. Would be great exposure for them, and a great time for us.

I just wanted to let all the VT fans know Boise State fans are nice people, and you should stop by the Bronco tailgaters and say hello. I think you will all like the people you meet. Can’t wait for the game.
