Darryl Slater of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports injured defensive tackle Kwamaine Battle will qualify for a medical hardship. Battle, a junior, tore his ACL early in the Hokies' second game of the season against James Madison and will miss the remainder of the 2010 season.
