Hokies in the NFL Week 7

JAZZ HANDS!

Well, I finally got around to Week 7 of the NFL season (my bad) so here's your recap. Week 8 will come tomorrow after Brandon Flowers and the Chiefs play the Chargers on MNF tonight.

Tim Tebow got his first start with the Broncos and Eddie Royal return from injury to help out in the win. The Lions dropped their second straight game as they lost to the Falcons. New Orleans? Just a 62-7 beat down on the Indianapolis Colts. I mean come on, can't we go ahead and give Peyton Manning the MVP? He's clearly the Most Valuable Player.

Follow the jump to see how former Hokies fared in Week 7 of the NFL Season.

Star-divide

Inactives: Xavier AdibiDarren Evans
Out for the season: Roc Carmichael (shoulder), Cody Grimm (knee), Ryan Williams (knee), Josh Morgan (ankle)

James Anderson-LB, Carolina Panthers: Anderson had another strong week, totaling 12 tackles with 10 coming as solo tackles. Anderson also added a sack, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 PD, and 1 fumble recovery.

Kam Chancellor-S, Seattle Seahawks: After a week off, Kam returned with 8 total tackles, 7 as solo tackles,  a sack, and a pass defended as the Seahawks lost to the Browns in a thrilling (not) 6-3 game.

Brandon Flowers-CB, Kansas City Chiefs: Flowers had quite the week, picking off two passes--one from new Raider Carson Palmer and one from Kyle Boller. Flowers returned one 6 yards but also ran one back for a 58-yard touchdown.

Flowers 6-yard INT was an overthrown pass:

His touchdown came by jumping a route and then having a cake-walk to the endzone:

DeAngelo Hall-CB, Washington Redskins: Hall had 4 solo tackles with a sack, tackle for loss, and 1 pass defended.

Jeff King-TE, Arizona CardinalsKing had 1 catch for 10 yards.

Carlton Powell-DT, Atlanta Falcons: Did not accumulate any stats.

Eddie Royal-WR, Denver Broncos: Eddie returned from a groin injury and hauled in 2 catches for 14 yards in Tim Tebow's first start for Denver.

Tyrod Taylor-QB, Baltimore Ravens: Did not accumulate any stats.

Darryl Tapp-DE, Philadelphia EaglesPhilly had a bye week.

Mike Vick-QB, Philadelphia Eagles: Philly had a bye week.

Jason Worilds-LB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Did not accumulate any stats.

GAME BALL: Easy. Brandon Flowers. No, not the lead singer of The Killers Brandon Flowers.
