Worried. We are outmatched here against Michigan
Really worried about this Michigan game, but I will hope for the best. I am going to buy tickets soon here, but I really don't think we can win this one.
We were not that great against the run a year ago, and I hoped to improve this year. We have had some tough breaks though as we have seen both of our big guys go down up front. In another matchup this might not matter, but against this Michigan team we might get run over. Even if we are able to hang in early eventually Michigan will wear us down big time. Robinson and Toussaint are both very good runners, and their offensive line seems pretty good. My brother is a Michigan guy so I get to watch some of their games. Robinson is also much better throwing the ball now than he was earlier in the year.
Please someone tell me I am wrong... My brother will be with me in the stands, and I would love to have the last laugh. HAH! =(

Of course I did not even touch on the fact our LB corp has been decimated as well.
This is not good against this Michigan team. oyyy
Have a little faith
I see where you are coming from. The game could go that way. The key will be for us to get a quick score, and score first. Get a couple of quick three-and-outs, and make Michigan play from behind. Robinson, while electric, gets out of rhythm easily. If we force Michigan into a lot of early 3rd and longs, and we can sustain some long early drives, the Hokies will be OK. If we score early, I see this being like the Miami game. Michigan will wear us down with the run game and come back frantically down the stretch. If the Michigan run game kills us early in the first half, I am afraid we will be disappointed all night. Our offense must score early and often, which we can. Remember, there is a lot of time between the last game and the bowl game. Neither team will be super sharp, and neither can afford to come out flat. VT can win this game. Relax.

Probably gonna turn into a shoot-out
I don’t know, but I just have a feeling both offenses are going to come out and score points. It depends on the VT O-line handles the Michigan D-line. If VT O-line falters like it did against Clemson, then UM might dominate the game. If VT can gets some push, establish the run and set up the pass, then it’s going to be a high scoring affair. It all starts with DW4.

Hokieman44 Is On The Money On This One
Yes, I am hoping for the best on this one also but I am a realist. After watching the Clemson Tigers obliterate us and seeing the same parallels with Michigan, I don’t see us as having much of a chance unless they just have an off day. They are bigger, quicker and stronger and their conference is much better than the ACC. I decided to catch this one on my HD TV, not going to spend $2500 again and watch my team get buried like last year. Beamer just can’t seem to get us to the next level.
