Three Important 4 Stars
Joel Caleb, Korren Kirven and Ken Ekanem are all within reach of committing to VT before National Signing day. If we sign two of the three it will be the best VT recruitment class in the last five years. Caleb will likely be the one to commit first (reminds me of Boykin except without the XXXL gloves). Alabama is making a late run for Kirvin and looks to be a 50/50 proposition comming down the wire. Ekanem is getting the hard sell from Notre Dame but Bud Foster loves this kid and thinks he can play anywhere on the D-line or maybe even as a run-stopping LB?

Should not forget Cyrus
Gilman Schools Cyrus Jones, the best player in Maryland wi chose between two SEC schools and VT. This kid is special. When Gilman beat Oscar Smith in the first game of the year he looked better than JC Coleman!
Forget the 2 of 3 caveat
It is ALREADY looking like our best class in history. If we land ANY of those guys that will put us over the top in that category.
Diggs has all but elminated the Hokies
There’s no point in making him our primary focus and lose out on four GREAT recruits to land one phenomenal recruit…and again, that’s not likely. You put your eggs in MANY baskets. Not just one.

Oviously you dont just go after one guy
He moved us into his top eight after the UVA game and i just read that its between us, florida, and fsu. Dont really know where you got that he has basically eliminated us

I've seen plenty of literature about this
Unfortunately, I can only paraphrase as it is behind a paysite. I will provide links in case you are a Rivals member.
Per this article, we are not getting an official visit in January from Diggs, often indicating a team not making the cut.

There is this article where he fails to mention us among his leaders and includes every other team listed in his Top 8 BUT us. He also talks about how much he enjoyed his visit to UVA and how he doesn’t care that they lost. Again, no mention of us in that segment.

There’s this article where he says he prefers the Cavs to the Hokies

Also, Hokiehaven editor Brian Mohr puts together a recruiting board with the % representing the likelihood a player will commit. Brian is on top of things in regards to what he is hearing when he interviews players as well as disseminating what players say and DON’T SAY when they are interviewed by others. More often than not, he is pretty close with the percentage. While I cannot divulge the exact percentage he lists on our recruiting board, suffice it to say it’s a LOW percentage. Like WAY low. If you are counting Diggs as one of the “5” major prospects we legitimately have remaining on our board, his percentage to commit to us is the lowest by 40%. I will see if there is anything else I can find, but I’m pretty convinced we are not a serous player for him.
where can i see brian's recruiting board?

Unfortunately you have to be a Hokiehaven member, but it's well worth it
If you are a member, he lists it under the “more” category at the top. If you hover over it, a dropdown menu will appear and scroll down to 2012 Target Board. Then you click on the link and you’re in.
