"We have a pro style-slash-spread," said (Tyrod) Taylor. "That’s what I will call it. We run every route that the NFL runs. Just certain people are a little different, certain steps. But as far as everything that we worked on, we ran that at Virginia Tech. It’s just called a little different, and the way they [run routes] out of the backfield, they did it out of a split instead of the I-formation. But everything they ran I was comfortable with."
Scout.com has a run-down of Tyrod's private workout with the Dolphins. Sounds like Tech's offensive system has him well-prepared for tackling an NFL playbook.

Anybody...
that can come out of Stinespring’s system with numbers like Tyrod had over the past two years deserves a shot. Not saying that Tyrod deserves to be under center in the league this year, but he definitely should be drafted. This article proposes a very interesting scenario, and probably nailed it in that the Dolphins have a plan to wait and see if Tyrod is still available in the 4th or 5th round, then take him. I don’t think anybody is going to use a 1st round pick on Tyrod. BUT…I felt that way about Tebow…as did a lot of “experts.”

And in other unrelated news...
That basketball game last night was punishment from the the basketball gods for not letting Virginia tech in the tournament.

The basketball gods do not care about Virginia Tech not getting in nor Virginia Tech. They made that game forgettable so that we won’t care as much when UConn vacates it.
