I'm fortunate enough to have two families. Today, our tailgate family lost a good one in John Judkins. Please keep his wife, children and everyone who was fortunate enough to know him in your thoughts and prayers.

John was a beloved member of the Clubhouse Tailgate, a motley crew of Hokie fans who were kind enough to take me under their wing in recent years. Spending time with them is one of the main reasons I love going to see the Hokies play in person so much and one of the main reasons I hate that I don't get out there more than I do. John helped make those trips so much fun and was kind to anyone who came to the Clubhouse.

We've lost a good Hokie and an even better friend today. RIP.
