Tyrod Taylor Coming to a Minor League Ballpark Near You
Easing back into things with a little bit of fluffery.
As a fan of the multiple ballparks road trip, I'm impressed by what former Virginia Tech and current Baltimore Ravens QB Tyrod Taylor has planned for this weekend.
Minor league baseball fans in the eastern part of The Commonwealth can catch Tyrod when the Norfolk Tides face the Gwinnett Braves at 7:15 p.m. Friday at Harbor Park in Norfolk (check out the comments from Wahoos) and again hours later when he's at the Richmond Braves Flying Squirrels' game against the Harrisburg Senators at 1:05 Saturday at The Diamond in Richmond. He will throw out the first pitch and sign autographs during both games.
Outfield seats will be in high demand for both games, but for completely different reasons.
Those of you planning on making the trip to beautiful Harbor Park are probably going to get to see Chris George take the hill, so the outfield gives you a good chance at a souvenir baseball. Those of you planning on making the trip to the decrepit Diamond will get to see wunderkind Bryce Harper, who hit 14 home runs in the Sally League before being promoted to Double-A. Between Harper and Tyrod, I'm betting the Squirrels see a nice crowd on Saturday.
No news on when Tyrod plans to visit Historic Calfee Park in Pulaski or lovely Legion Field in Danville.

Feel kind of silly that I left the Tides for a new job
Exactly one week before Hokie night. All of my colleagues made fun of me for that.
It would be awesome if he did work Pulaski in this weekend
I have to cover a three-game set between them and Bluefield
