The Hokies open their 2011 football season against the Appalachian State Mountaineers on the ACC Network (produced and syndicated by Raycom Sports). The ACC Network is shown on over-the-air networks throughout the ACC's geographic footprint and in many markets outside of it, including Los Angeles, Denver and Indianapolis.

To view a list of networks carrying Virginia Tech's game against Appalachian State, visit the ACC's website. Those of you in a market that doesn't have access to the ACC Network on television can view the game online via ESPN3.com. Some Hokie Clubs have worked out deals where games on ESPN3 are shown on a projection screen at their weekly watch parties. Contact your local Hokie Club to see if this is an option for you.

This will obviously be the first time this season the Hokies will be on ACC Network. Since joining the ACC in 2004, Virginia Tech is 10-0 on games broadcast by ACC Network/Raycom/Lincoln Financial Sports/Jefferson Pilot.
