Virginia Tech moved down in both the Week 3 AP and Coaches' polls after struggling against East Carolina. The Hokies are now ranked No. 12 in the USA Today Coaches Poll and No. 13 in the Associated Press Poll after being ranked No. 11 in both last week.
South Carolina jumped the Hokies in both polls as a result of their road win over Georgia. Oregon also moved ahead of the Hokies in the AP Poll as a result of its blow-out win over Nevada.
The only other ranked ACC team continues to be Florida State, which is No. 5 in both polls. Maryland and Georgia Tech both received votes in the AP poll while North Carolina and Clemson joined the Terps and Jackets among those also receiving votes in the Coaches' poll.
There isn't much room for the Hokies to move up the next two weeks. Even if they take care of business against Arkansas State and Marshall, the Hokies provided enough ammunition to poll voters against East Carolina to keep them out of the Top 10.
