The Virginia Tech Hokies are 3-3, and as you can read above, they are not a good football team. They are the worst Virginia Tech football team of the last decade. Going into the season, I had more confidence in this team that any in recent memory. Logan Thomas was a known commodity (hahahaha...now saying that just makes me laugh at myself), the Tech defense returned nine starters off of a defense that ranked No. 10, and several important offensive playmakers returned. But I digress. Just know that this is not a good football team.

The Hokies enter Chapel Hill Saturday with a 3-2 record and losers of two of their last three. However, Tech is still undefeated in conference play, so there is more than just pride on the line. The Hokies will look to turn their season around right here and roll off a long list of wins before representing the Coastal Division in the ACC Championship for a third-straight year.

This week, I was able to get Brian Barbour, manager of Tar Heel Blog, to participate in a Q & A with me. In this week's Q & A session, we discuss the game, the two teams' roller-coaster seasons, Disney (briefly) and basketball. Brian also made his prediction for this weekend's game (and he went a different way than I did folks). So if you want to see a fan perspective with detailed answers from a Tar Heel point of view, just keep on reading. If not...hey, did that guy below just call you stupid? Look what he said!

The Hokies take to the road again this week, this time the destination Chapel Hill, Nc. A place that has been kind to them since Virginia Tech joined the ACC in 2004. The Hokies have won all four of their games in Kenan Stadium during that time span, and have only lost once to the Heels as an ACC member (at home in 2009). In fact, the last time the Hokies lost at North Carolina was in 1938. So history is on the Hokies side. But will that be enough?

Late the other night I watched ESPN's A Season On The Brink, a film based on John Feinstein's book chronicling the 1985-86 season he spent with Bob Knight and the Indiana Hoosiers. While I found the film absolutely terrible, lacking in substance and completely omitting roughly half the season, I begun to think about how the title fit the 2012 Hokies. The situation they find themselves in puts them squarely at a crossroads. Do they respond like the Virginia Tech teams of 1995 and 2010? Or do they falter, give up, and have a nightmarish season like the teams of 1997 or 2003? Anything is possible, but as of now, the Hokies fit the bill of that title more than the team for which the book was written for.
