Hokies in the NFL: Week 3

DeAngelo Hall returned an interception for a touchdown. - Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

A few changes this week as Roc Carmichael was picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles and Danny Coale who joined the Indianapolis Colts. Shayne Graham was released by the Steelers last week.

As with in years past, offensive linemen are omitted due to the fact that it's just too hard to keep up with any notable stats/plays during the game.

James Anderson, LB Chicago Bears -- Anderson racked up five total tackles with four as solo efforts. He also earned a tackle for loss. Anderson also recovered a Ben Roethlisberger fumble. On the ensuing possession, Da Bears scored.
5 TAK, 4 SOLO, FUM REC

Jarrett Boykin, WR Green Bay Packers -- Boykin earned a tackle after an Aaron Rodgers interception in the Packers loss. I GUESS RODGERS DIDN'T DISCOUNT DOUBLECHECK THE COVERAGE.
TAK, SOLO

Kam Chancellor, S Seattle Seahawks -- Chancellor pulled in an interception for the Seahawks and returned it 32 yards (though not for a touchdown). Chancellor tallied three tackles, including one solo tackle and one tackle for loss.
3 TAK, SOLO, TFL; INT, 32 YDS

Brandon Flowers, CB Kansas City Chiefs -- Flowers had a pair of solo tackles in the Chiefs' Thursday night win over the Eagles. Surprisingly, that was it.
2 TAK, 2 SOLO

Shayne Graham, K Pittsburgh Steelers -- Graham was cut by the Steelers last week. Unless he's signed before next week, he will be left off of this next week.

DeAngelo Hall, CB Washington Redskins -- Hall picked off a pass and returned it 17 yards for a touchdown on the Lions' second possession of the game. Then, he got to defend Calvin Johnson the rest of the day, who caught seven passes for 115 yards and one touchdown. Hall tallied four total tackles and three solo tackles and two passes defended.
4 TAK, 3 SOLO; INT, 17 YDS, TD, 2 PD

Jayron Hosley, CB New York Giants -- Did not accumulate any stats.

Josh Morgan, WR Washington Redskins -- Morgan caught a pair of passes, one for 12 yards and another for 7 yards. He also returned two kicks, one for 19 yards and one for 24 yards.
2 REC, 19 YDS; 2 KRET, 43 YDS

Eddie Royal, WR San Diego Chargers -- After a tremendous Week 2, Royal's week three wasn't as stunning, though he did have a decent performance. He caught 2 passes for 28 yards with a long of 15 yards and also had a touchdown nullified by a hold. Royal was credited with 34 receiving yards, but 6 more came by way of an end-of-game lateral thingy. Royal also returned one punt for seven yards.
2 REC, 28 YDS; P RET, 7 YDS

Andre Smith, TE Dallas Cowboys -- Inactive.

Tyrod Taylor, QB Baltimore Ravens -- Did not accumulate any stats.

Darryl Tapp, DE/LB Washington Redskins -- Did not accumulate any stats.

Michael Vick, QB Philadelphia Eagles -- After an incredible outing last week, Vick and the Eagles looked bad on Thursday night against the Chiefs. Vick completed 13 of 30 (43.3%) for 201 yards with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Jason Avant. However, Vick threw a pair of interceptions, including a pick-six to Eric Berry on his second pass of the game. Vick rushed five times for 95 yards, including a career-long 61 yard run. I know, I thought for sure he would have had a longer run in his career. Vick also was credited with a tackle after an atrocious snap by Jason Kelce hit the right guard's arm. He later recovered a fumble on another bad snap by Kelce. Vick fumbled on the final play of the game.
13/30, 201 YDS, 1 TD, 2 INT; TAK, SOLO

Ryan Williams, RB Arizona Cardinals -- Inactive.

David Wilson, RB New York Giants -- Wilson and the Giants were abused by the Panthers' defense. Wilson rushed for just 39 yards on 11 carries with a long rush of 18 yards. He also had a touchdown nullified after a holding call. He also had one kickoff return for 24 yards. Given how poor the Giants' offensive line played (allowing seven sacks) it is probably not much of an indication of Wilson's ability to run the ball. The good news? No fumbles.
11 RUSH, 39 YDS; 1 KRET, 24 YDS

Jason Worilds, LB Pittsburgh Steelers -- Worilds was credited with one total tackle (a solo effort) and one pass defended in the Stillers loss.
TAK, SOLO, PD

Practice Squad:
Roc Carmichael (CB, Philadelphia Eagles), Danny Coale (WR, Indianapolis Colts), Corey Fuller (WR Detroit Lions)

Injured reserve:
Jeff King, TE Arizona Cardinals -- season-ending knee surgery
