Beamer gets out coached again like he always does in a big game. Our OC Stiney needs to go or should I say should have been gone years ago. He makes too many idiotic calls and keeps the offense in a predictable rut. All of our opponents make adjustments at the half but we follow Stiney off a cliff to disaster. Beamer could elevate our great teams by giving them a new offensive coordinator. Without Foster pulling us out as much as he does we would not win 10 plus games a year.

We need and our school and team deserves a positive change. Go Hokies!!!!!!!!

I woke up this morning bitter and frustrated with the Virginia Tech football program. I wasn’t angry that the Hokies were beaten by Stanford. I felt like, short of playing Auburn or Oregon that Stanford presented the worst possible match up to Virginia Tech. I wasn’t even upset that the Hokies were not even competitive in the second half. I was frustrated because the game became a microcosm revisiting every weakness that the Hokies have exhibited both this season and over the last decade and Frank Beamer appears to be incapable or unwilling to make the changes necessary for the program to be a yearly challenger for the National Championship instead of a yearly challenger for the ACC title who will almost always lose against top 5 caliber programs.

Hey guys I'm new here so I just wanted a video I made last night in tribute of our senior QB before his final game tonight at the Orange Bowl. It is highlights from this past season along with a few highlights from previous years that were very memorable to me. I just felt like after all Tyrod gave to the school this was a tribute that needed to be done. Hope you enjoy.

The Virginia Tech football team opened up the 2010 football season with a disappointing 0-2 start, including a last-minute loss to #3 Boise State and losing at home to D1-AA JMU. The Hokies then rallied to win 11 straight games, an ACC Championship and a birth in the 2010 Orange Bowl.  I made this video as a tribute to their resilience,showing their rise... from rags to riches.

If you would like to know when an update is posted about the College Bowl Pick Em' game, follow me on Twitter. I'll be tweeting the link to each update.

SB Nation College Bowl Pick Em' had 135 people sign up. Although the slogan says "Don't sign up if you're not going to play," 21 people did not pick any games. We can theoretically now elimnate them leaving 114 people actually playing the game.

Of those 114, only 17 people correctly picked BYU over UTEP, Northern Illinois over Fresno State, and Troy over Ohio. That includes our leader, FlaGators. FlaGators is leader due to not only him correctly picking all three games, but having them in high confidence. He had a Troy win at a confidence of 30, Northern Illinois at a confidence of 29 and BYU at a confidence of 22.

For those of you that had a bad first day to the bowl season, just remember that there are 35 games, not 3, in the bowl season and everyone still has a chance.

I created this illustration as a tribute to Tyrod. It's going to be tough to replace a guy who contributed so much to the program over the last four years. I always felt we had a chance to win with him back at Quarterback. I hope he goes on to have a great career in the NFL as a Quarterback and not WR or KR. Thank Zod for Tyrod!

Are we going ORANGE EFFECT for the ORANGE Bowl???  Stanford's red is too close to our Maroon and I think we'd show the country we took over Dolphin Stadium!! 

I recall the Kansas game, Orange Bowl '08, it was embarrassing to be a Jayhawk fan, 80- 20 ratio of maroon to blue (although we lost the football game and then to make matters worse, Kansas went on to win the Basketball championship that spring, sooooooo it still hurts...)  and besides how many Cardinal (why did they forget to pluralize the nick name???) will really make the transcontinental trip to south florida?

As we all know, Virginia Tech will be playing Stanford in the 2011 Orange Bowl. I have 4 to 8 tickets that need a good home. I wish I could be going to the game but some things have come up.

The tickets are located in row 26 of section 452. Please reply if you are interested. If not, I am going to have to sell them on stub hub or craigslist. I rather my fellow VT fans get a hold of them first.
