Hokie Hoops Hosts UNC Greensboro

Virginia Tech Hokies (1-0) vs. UNC Greensboro Spartans (0-1)

UNC Greensboro: The Spartans play in the Southern Conference ... they were 5-25 in 2008-09, averaged 62.9 ppg and allowed 73.9 ppg ... last year they were right around average in tempo and near the bottom in both offensive and defensive efficiency, according to the Pomeroy ratings.

Dot-dot-dots: The next Hokie home game isn't until Dec. 6 against Georgia ... Virginia Tech is 5-0 all-time against UNCG ... Malcolm Delaney led the Hokies with 21 points in their season-opening win against Brown on Sunday ... UNCG lost its opener at Duke, 96-62 on Friday ... hopefully Terrell Bell's performance against Brown was indicative of the season he's about to have ... Bell had 8 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists against the Bears ... last year I thought Bell was going to be a Deron Washington clone and do the little things the team needs to succeed, if he plays that way the whole year Hokie fans should be thrilled ... it will be interesting to see how many minutes Erick Green gets in this game ... he was supposed to split time at PG with Delaney, but only played three minutes against Brown because he wasn't assertive enough, according to Seth Greenberg.
