The Hokies are up two spots in both the USA Today/ESPN Coaches and AP Polls after their 44-7 win over Duke. Virginia Tech re-entered the polls at No. 23 last week and are now ranked No. 21 in the country.
The Top 5 is the same in both polls: Oregon, Boise State, Auburn, TCU and Michigan State. The Hokies are one of three ranked ACC teams, along with Florida State (No. 15 in the coaches and No. 16 in the AP) and Miami (22/22). NC State and Clemson also received votes from the coaches while the Pack and Maryland were among those receiving votes in the AP.
The Hokies have a bye week before hosting Georgia Tech on Thursday, Nov. 4.
