UPDATE: Virginia Tech is No. 15 in the latest BCS rankings.

After winning their 10th consecutive game, the Hokies find themselves on the cusp of returning to the Top 10 for the first time since the preseason.

In the polls released today, Virginia Tech is ranked No. 11 in the USA Today/ESPN Coaches Poll and No. 12 in the Associated Press and Harris Interactive Polls (PDF). The Coaches and Harris polls are components of the BCS rankings, which will be release tonight while the AP poll is not.

This is the highest the Hokies have been ranked since the preseason, when the they were No. 10 in the AP and No. 6 in the coaches. Following their opening loss to Boise State, they were pegged as the No. 13 team in both polls.

Virginia Tech and its opponent in this weekend's ACC Championship game are the only two ACC teams in this week's polls. The Seminoles come in at No. 20 in all three polls. Maryland, which upset then-ranked NC State Saturday in College Park, Md., is among the top teams also receiving votes in all three polls. The Wolfpack dropped out of all three polls with their loss to Terrapins, but did pick up votes in all three.
