Chris Dobbertean of SB Nation's Blogging the Bracket has updated his Last Four In/Last Four Out following Houston's win over UTEP to claim Conference USA's automatic bid. The Hokies are currently his second-to-last team in the NCAA Tournament field, ahead of Washington and behind San Diego State.
The last four teams out include Rhode Island, Minnesota and Mississippi State, all of whom are still alive in the conference tournaments, along with UDub. The good news is Rhode Island is currently getting blown out by Temple in the Atlantic 10 tournament (Update: URI lost, 57-44. Rams probably out of the tournament). The rest of the bubble schedule is after the jump.
Big Ten Semi: Minnesota vs. Purdue, 4 p.m. EST, CBS
SEC Semi: Mississippi State vs. Vanderbilt, 3 p.m. EST, ABC
ACC Semi: Georgia Tech vs. NC State, 3:30 p.m. EST, ESPN
Pac 10 Final: Washington vs. California, 6 p.m. EST, CBS
MWC Final: San Diego State vs. UNLV, 7 p.m. EST, Versus
WAC Final: Utah State vs. New Mexico State, 10 p.m. EST, ESPN2
Hokies fans need to root for Purdue, Vanderbilt, Cal and Utah State. Georgia Tech and San Diego State are on the bubble, so losses on their part could hurt or help in the end.
