Here's a fun site to help combat The Dead Period. A group of meteorology junkies from Virginia Tech are going on a storm chase through the Great Plains for college credit.
The group is a part of GEOG 2984: Field Methods in Convective Forecasting, and they've been doing this since 1985. They embark Monday at 11 a.m. The first part of their journey takes them to the Texas panhandle.
There are several ways to follow the chase: Their blog, Facebook and The Twitter.
Good luck, guys.
