Virginia Tech Club Baseball Team Heading to Nationals

The ACC tournament won't be the only place you can catch Hokie baseball action this weekend. Virginia Tech's club baseball team will participate in the National Club Baseball Association World Series starting May 28 in Fort Myers, Fla. The sixth-seeded Hokies will play in the tournament's opening game at 11 a.m. EDT Friday against Arizona at City of Palms Park, the spring training home of the Red Sox and Twins.

Like the College World Series, the NCBA tournament is double-elimination, with the Hokies and Wildcats on the same side of the bracket as Colorado State and Georgia. If Tech beats Arizona, it will play again at 3 p.m. on May 30. A loss would send the Hokies to the loser's bracket and their second game would be at 3 p.m. on May 29.
