With a win over Florida State Saturday night, Virginia has set up a winner-take-all showdown with Virginia Tech for the ACC Coastal division championship. The two will meet at 3:30 p.m. EST Saturday in Charlottesville on either ABC, ESPN or ESPN2. The network will be determined Sunday.
Virginia drove 75 yards in five plays and 37 seconds in the final two minutes to take a 14-13 lead with 1:16 to play. FSU then drove to the UVa 25, but Dustin Hopkins missed a 43-yard field goal with three seconds to play. The win moved UVa to 8-3 and 5-2 in the ACC.
Tech and UVa are the only two teams in the Coastal with less than three conference losses and Saturday's winner will determine who will represent the division against Clemson in the ACC Championship Game Dec. 3 in Charlotte.
The Hokies and Hoos also met in Charlottesville with the division title on the line in 2007, a game Tech won 33-21.
