College Football Odds: Virginia Tech an Early 4.5-Point Favorite Against UVa

The Hokies have been favored in all 12 games this season and are 3-8 against the spread. The Hoos have been underdogs in four games prior the their game against Tech and were 3-1 straight up and 3-1 against the spread in those four games. UVa is 5-5-1 overall against the spread this season, but 4-1-1 ATS in its last six games.

Since joining the ACC in 2004, the Hokies have been favored in every match-up against the Hoos and are 7-0 straight up and 6-1 ATS against them. The only time UVa beat the spread in that time was 2008 in Blacksburg when Tech was 7.5-point favorites and won 17-14.

The last time UVa was favored in the Commonwealth Cup was also the last time it won. In 2003, the Hoos were 2.5-points favorites and won 35-21.
