This week's game notes are available, including the depth chart.
Interesting stuff:
- There are 19 freshman and sophomores in the two-deep. Nine. Teen. That includes 15 on defense and seven of the eight defensive lineman.
- Dyrell Roberts is again listed as a flanker. Earlier it was reported he had moved to split end. The depth chart has him as the No. 3 flanker behind Danny Coale and Marcus Davis.
- With Michael Via out for this game with a sprained knee, true freshman Caleb Farris is the No. 2 center.
- The only split spot on the depth chart is backup mike linebacker, where Barquell Rivers is listed as the co-No. 2 with Jack Tyler.
The youth and inexperience for the Hokies, especially after the first team defense, is staggering and comparable to 2008 when they opened in Charlotte against East Carolina. We really can't afford any injuries on D.
