Hokies in the NFL: Week 8

Very light week in the NFL for former Hokies as several players were on a bye week and others were injured or left early.

DeAngelo Hall ran away with this week's edition of Hokies in the NFL.

James Anderson, LB Chicago Bears -- Chicago had a bye week.

Nick Becton, OT San Diego Chargers -- The Chargers had the week off.

Jarrett Boykin, WR Green Bay Packers -- Boykin had a pretty good outing for the Pack, pulling in five catches for 89 yards. Boykin caught passes of 11, 18, 17, 27 and 16 yards. He caught passes for first downs on third down on three occasions.

Duane Brown, OG Houston Texans -- Houston had a bye week.

Roc Carmichael, CB Philadelphia Eagles -- No stats accumulated.

Kam Chancellor, S Seattle Seahawks -- Kam and the Seahawks went down to the wire against the Rams, with the Rams getting a shot to win the game from inside the five yard line with four seconds left on fourth and goal. The Seahawks pulled out the win with Kam picking up three solo tackles.

Brandon Flowers, CB Kansas City Chiefs -- Flowers tallied six solo tackles in the Chiefs win.

DeAngelo Hall, CB Washington Redskins -- DeAngelo picked off a Peyton Manning pass and returned it 26 yards for a touchdown to put the Redskins up 21-7 on the Broncos. Here's the GIF:

However, the Broncos scored 38 unanswered points to close out the game and send the Redskins to 2-5. Hall actually finished the game with a pair of interceptions, with his second interception being a very skillful one. Hall went up with the Denver receiver, who had both hands on the ball, and Hall ripped the ball out with one hand and took possession of it. Here's the GIF:

Hall finished with four tackles (all solo) and three passes defended.

4 TAK, 4 SOLO, 2 INT, TD, 3 PD

Jayron Hosley, CB New York Giants -- Inactive this week.

Will Montgomery, G Washington Redskins -- I didn't pay any particular attention to Montgomery, but I know that RGIII/Kirk Cousins got hit. A lot. That's not to say it's all on Montgomery by any means. Just my general observation of the offensive line play. If you watched the game, feel free to comment below.

Josh Morgan, WR Washington Redskins -- Morgan's big contribution on the day was a 34-yard punt return. He returned another punt for two yards and had one reception for three yards. He was open for what would have likely turned into a touchdown, but RGIII didn't see him.

Eddie Royal, WR San Diego Chargers -- The Chargers were on a bye week.

Andre Smith, TE Dallas Cowboys -- Andre did not accumulate any stats.

Tyrod Taylor, QB Baltimore Ravens -- Tyrod and the Ravens had the week off.

Darryl Tapp, DE/LB Washington Redskins -- Tapp earned a pair of solo tackles for the Redskins.

Michael Vick, QB Philadelphia Eagles -- Vick completed 6-of-9 passes for 30 yards with one interception. He also had one rush for one yard. He left the game early and is likely out next week. You can't help but wonder if this might be the end of the road for Vick. He's in the last year of his deal (I think) and the Eagles seem to be gearing towards Foles/Barkley as their future. Thoughts?
