Hokies in the NFL: Week 13

Jason O. Watson-USA TODAY Sports

James Anderson, LB Chicago Bears -- Anderson is the latest Hokie to be tasked with trying to stop Adrian Peterson. He was credited with a 3-yard tackle for loss on Peterson and also stopped Cordarelle Patterson for a six yard loss. In all, he tallied eight total tackles with three as solo efforts and two TFL.
8 TAK, 3 SOLO, 2 TFL

Nick Becton, OT San Diego Chargers -- Back on practice squad. Won't appear up here until he makes active roster again.

Jarrett Boykin, WR Green Bay Packers -- After a few solid weeks, Boykin had zero catches for zero yards on three targets. Of course, he had noted derpologist Matt Flynn throwing to him.
0 REC

Duane Brown, OG Houston Texans -- Duane had a big block on at least one Houston touchdown:

Roc Carmichael, CB Philadelphia Eagles -- Carmichael is back to second string (I think) and earned just one solo tackle on special teams. He was also flagged for pass interference.
TAK, SOLO

Kam Chancellor, S Seattle Seahawks -- Kam and the Seahawks had to go up against the Saints and well, they held noted hurler of footballs Drew Brees to just 147 yards passing. Read that again. Drew Brees, who has thrown for over 49,000 yards in his career, was held to 147 yards. Kam tallied six total tackles with three as solos.
6 TAK, 3 SOLO

Brandon Flowers, CB Kansas City Chiefs -- I don't know for sure that Flowers was assigned to Eric Decker on all four of Decker's TDs, but I saw at least one where Flowers was supposed to be in coverage. WHOOPS. Not his best game, three tackles--all solo.
3 TAK, 3 SOLO

DeAngelo Hall, CB Washington Redskins -- I didn't watch the game, but I was tweeted this by the site account so I'll let someone explain:

Hall was credited with seven total tackles with five as solos and he was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct (NO WAY).
7 TAK, 5 SOLO

Jayron Hosley, CB New York Giants -- Hosley made his first start of the year and allowed just two catches: a 10-yarder to Josh Morgan (Hey, HE'S A HOKIE!) and a 6-yard reception by Pierre Garcon. He played 67 of 69 defensive snaps last night, which is good to see after his hamstring issue. Hosley finished the game with four tackles with three as solo efforts and a pass defended.
4 TAK, 3 SOLO, PD

Will Montgomery, G Washington Redskins -- Take it away, whoever watched the game. I did see he was flagged for holding.

Josh Morgan, WR Washington Redskins -- Morgan had the aforementioned 10-yard reception and kickoff returns of 23 and 25 yards.
REC, 10 YDS; 2 KRET, 48 YDS

Eddie Royal, WR San Diego Chargers -- Eddie sat out this week, apparently still feeling the pains of a chest injury.

Andre Smith, TE Dallas Cowboys Cleveland Browns -- Andre made his Cleveland debut and though he didn't have any receiving stats, I found this:

Tyrod Taylor, QB Baltimore Ravens -- Did not accumulate any stats.

Darryl Tapp, DE/LB Washington Redskins -- Did not accumulate any stats :(

Michael Vick, QB Philadelphia Eagles -- Vick was active, but is sitting on the bench behind Nick Foles. He was also the victim of an internet hoax claiming he broke both legs in a car accident...that never happened.

Ryan Williams, RB Arizona Cardinals -- YOU'LL NEVER GUESS.

Jason Worilds, LB Pittsburgh Steelers -- Worilds had a great outing, a pair of sacks, a forced fumble and led the team in tackles. Worilds had 10 total tackles with six solos. He dropped Flacco for a 6-yard loss and then again for an 8-yard loss while forcing the fumble. He's definitely writing the terms of his next contract.
10 TAK, 6 SOLO, 2 SACKS, 2 TFL

Practice Squad:
Corey Fuller (WR Detroit Lions), Vinston Painter (OT, Denver Broncos), Bruce Taylor (LB, Cincinnati Bengals)

Injured reserve:
Jeff King, TE Arizona Cardinals -- season-ending knee surgery
David Wilson, RB New York Giants -- season-ending neck injury

Currently a free agent:
Shayne Graham, K; Xavier Adibi, LB; Vincent Fuller, DB; Cody Grimm, DB; Matt Lehr, OG; Carlton Powell, DT; Ed Wang, OT; Eddie Whitley, S; Danny Coale, WR
