The Christion Jones Show continues, Alabama leads 35-10 into fourth quarter

Kevin C. Cox

Alabama 35, Virginia Tech 10--end of third quarter

Virginia Tech and Alabama swapped strong defensive performances for the majority of the third quarter. Kyshoen Jarrett left the game with cramping issues and forcing Desmond Frye into relief in the secondary. Christion Jones blew by Frye and hauled in a 38-yard pass from AJ McCarron to put Alabama up 35-10.

Logan Thomas hit Joshua Stanford on 2nd-and-13 and on the next series a crucial completion on third down moved the chains for a new set of downs as the third quarter ended.
