Hokies in the NFL: Week 4

Bob Levey

By popular demand, I've included the linemen. Since this is the first crack at it, let me know if you have any suggestions.

James Anderson, LB Chicago Bears -- Anderson had four total tackles with two solo efforts as the Bears fell to the Lions 40-32

Nick Becton, OT San Diego Chargers -- Becton was signed to the active roster off of the Chargers practice squad on Saturday. He was active, but did not play against Dallas.

Jarrett Boykin, WR Green Bay Packers -- Green Bay had a bye week this week.

Duane Brown, OG Houston Texans -- Inactive (turf toe).

Roc Carmichael, CB, Philadelphia Eagles -- Carmichael made his first appearance for the Eagles and made a pair of solo tackles--one on special teams, one in late-game duty. After his troubles with injuries in Houston, it's good to see him getting a fresh start with Philly.

Kam Chancellor, S Seattle Seahawks -- Kam racked up 8 tackles, all solo tackles and also got a hand on a ball that was then intercepted. Chancellor later pressured Matt Schaub into making a quick throw that was picked off by Richard Sherman, who returned it for the game-tying touchdown. Chancellor was also flagged for pass interference once in the game.

Brandon Flowers, CB Kansas City Chiefs -- Flowers did not dress for the Chiefs with as he's been troubled by an inflammed knee.

DeAngelo Hall, CB Washington Redskins -- DeAngelo had a pair of tackles, but was also injured during the game. He returned to the game.

Jayron Hosley, CB New York Giants -- Hosley played in the game against the Chiefs, but was injured on a kickoff. He did not accumulate any stats.

Will Montgomery, G Washington Redskins -- Started for the Redskins. RGIII was sacked only once, and given that it was Charles Woodson (a corner), it likely wasn't Montgomery's fault.

Josh Morgan, WR Washington Redskins -- Josh caught one pass for six yards in the Washington win.
1 REC, 6 YDS

Eddie Royal, WR San Diego Chargers -- Eddie pulled in three passes for 42 yards, including a 28-yard catch. Eddie also returned one punt for 12 yards.
3 REC, 42 YDS

Andre Smith, TE Dallas Cowboys -- Inactive.

Tyrod Taylor, QB Baltimore Ravens -- Did not accumulate any stats.

Darryl Tapp, DE/LB Washington Redskins -- Tapp recorded a sack of Matt Flynn on the same drive that Flynn threw a pick-six to David Amerson--who surprisingly didn't blow coverage. Tapp also recorded another solo tackle on special teams.

Michael Vick, QB Philadelphia Eagles -- Vick and the Eagles traveled to Denver to play the Broncos. Vick completed 14 of 27 passes (51.9%) for 248 yards. Vick ran eight times for 41 yards Nick Foles replaced Vick when the game was no longer in question.
14/27 (51.9%), 248 YDS; 8 RUSH, 41 YDS

Ryan Williams, RB Arizona Cardinals -- Inactive, again.

David Wilson, RB New York Giants -- Wilson carried the ball 13 times for 55 yards in the Giants loss, with a long of 15 yards. He also caught two passes for eight yards. Wilson also returned two kicks for 61 yards and nearly broke one of the two before turning into a row of tacklers.
