Hokies, several HUGE high school football talents will be deciding over the next few weeks.

Virginia Tech's coaches have been doing an outstanding job on the recruiting trail. Some of the most talented kids in the country will be making their college decisions over the next couple of weeks with Virginia Tech as potential landing spots.

First, next Thursday afternoon Jalen Dalton, rated as the #2 weak-side defensive end in the country by 247Sports, will choose between Virginia Tech and UNC. At this point it is still 50/50 on where Jalen will play his college ball, but many sources think that Charlie Wiles and the Hokies have positioned themselves well to haul in the NC prospect.

Emaneul McGirt is an offensive line target that has long been seen as on the outside for Virginia Tech, but after his visit last Saturday Virginia Tech has a real shot. Much of McGirt's decision might depend on where Jalen chooses as they are pretty close friends. If Jalen decides to play at Virginia Tech then McGirt could be quick to follow.

Big news out of the Tidewater this week is that Josh Sweat will make his college announcement sometime in the first week of December. He has three official visits lined up (UGA, FSU and VT) with Virginia Tech being the last on Novemeber 28th when Virginia Tech plays Virginia. Sources believe that the entire Sweat family will travel with Josh to Blacksburg for the post-Thanksgiving festivities, which is a key factor for Josh and his recruitment.

More news to come (shortly) as the Virginia Tech staff are lining up final visits for some of these recruits. The coaching staff and new support positions are really working hard to finish up this class that has potential to be special.

Go Hokies!
