Hokies host Alabama A&M in Cassell Coliseum: Tech takes on Bulldogs in second game of five-game homestand http://t.co/rTyluULOQp
— VT Men's Basketball (@VT_MBBall) December 13, 2014
This is the first all-time meeting between the Hokies and Bulldogs. Alabama A&M (1-5) is a struggling ball club that is scoring only 56.3 points/game while shooting 37% from the field. Virginia Tech will look to get out in transition as the Bulldogs transition defense is shaky.Overall, I see VT's speed and athleticism giving A&M fits as the Hokies win 80-55.
Keys to VT's success:
- Limit Turnovers
- Push The Pace
- Attack The Glass
Virginia Tech will look for improvement at the free-throw line and in reducing their turnovers as mistakes have cost this young team early on. However, I will applaud Buzz for how he has gotten these freshmen to buy-in and produce early. Now, VT will need to see more consistent effort from JVZ, Smith and Mueller as they are key to this team having success.
The game can be seen on ESPN3 at 3:00pm.
Go Hokies!
