Freshman guard Ahmed Hill led Virginia Tech in scoring last night with 18 points to propel them to victory over Presbyterian 87-65.
The victory for Virginia Tech extends their winning streak to four and pushing their record to 8-4.
In addition to Hill, four other players scored in double figures including Jalen Hudson (15), Adam Smith (14), Justin Bibbs (13), and Joey Van Zegeren (13). The balanced scoring for Virginia Tech was critical as Hudson and Van Zegeren led the bench in scoring and helping outscore Presbyterian's bench 34-8. As we approach the upcoming conference season, having such quality depth will be extremely important in the competitive ACC.
Presbyterian was led by senior guard Jordan Downing with 19 points.
Virginia Tech will visit West Virginia (11-1) in Morgantown this Tuesday. This will be an important test as the Mountaineers are currently on a four game winning streak and rank 18th overall in the AP Top 25.
