Deng Adel is a very talented small forward prospect in the 2015 class out of Victory Rock Prep in Bradenton, Florida. He was born in Sudan and moved to Australia at a young age before moving to the United States to further his basketball career.
At 6'7", 190 pounds he's a tweener when it comes to positions. He's listed as 6'8" in some places which would mean he's growing into more of a frontcourt role than his familiar wing position.
Last season—his first in the U.S.—he averaged 22 points and eight rebounds per game solidifying himself as an elite prospect. He's garnered scholarship offers from top programs like Florida, Louisville and UConn. At this point in the recruiting process, Adel has reportedly narrowed his list and plans to make his official visits.

Louisville is the clear favorite based on most reports and predictions, thanks in large part to the close relationship between Adel's guardian and high school coach Loren Jackson's close relationship with Rick Pitino.

It's still a good sign that the Hokies are scheduled to get a visit and it speaks to the boundless energy and enthusiasm for new coach Buzz Williams. This would be a big pickup for Louisville so it goes without saying just how important it would be for Tech.
More I watch Deng Adel the more I realize he is a taller, longer Chris Clarke. Both have position questions and both have energy as essence

It's difficult to find anything he doesn't do well. Adel handles the ball, passes, rebounds, scores in transition and shoots well with range. He's aggressive without being selfish and would fit in well on any team.
Adel is ranked the 27th best player in his class by 247Sports and ESPN has him as the 83rd best player in the country and a four-star prospect.
