Per the ACC Network's website:
http://www.theacc.com/#!/news-detail/ACC-Returns-To-Big-Monday-Platform-for-2014-15_08-11-14_q2f32t
The ACC Big Monday lineup reads as follows:
January 5 – Notre Dame at North Carolina (ESPN or ESPN2), 7 p.m.
January 19 – Pitt at Duke (ESPN), 7 p.m.
January 26 – Syracuse at North Carolina (ESPN), 7 p.m.
February 2 – Virginia at North Carolina (ESPN), 7 p.m.
February 9 – Duke at Florida State (ESPN), 7 p.m.
February 16 – Pitt at Virginia (ESPN), 7 p.m.
February 23 – Louisville at Georgia Tech (ESPN), 7 p.m.
March 2 – Virginia at Syracuse (ESPN), 7 p.m.
No real big surprises here. Only 9 of the 15 member schools are represented. Left off are: VT, Boston College, Wake Forest, North Carolina State, Miami, and Clemson.
In the long run this means nothing. Virtually every Hokie game will be televised via ESPN3 or on Raycom at our favorite noon Saturday start time (HEY, WE CAN GET TO BED BATH AND BEYOND, MAYBE A LITTLE HOME DEPOT, I DUNNO, DUNNO IF WE'LL HAVE ENOUGH TIME!).
And of course all the marquee matchups that are missing above will be compensated for elsewhere. The final Duke-UNC game of the year is always a CBS affair. Though you have to wonder how much of a jig Roy Williams did to see his Tar Heels outnumber Duke in Big Monday matchups (3-2). You gotta know that Roy sent that info on up to SID for the next recruiting pamphlet.
Yes, we must lick our wounds a bit, but by year 2, we should imagine that Buzz Williams will have made his way onto the Big Monday platform.
Glad to be back folks, July was trying on a personal level. I am ready for some footbaw.
