Games you might want to keep an eye on:

  • Houston is 25th and going into BYU in a kind of odd to see in print matchup. That is tonight,
  • Unless you want to wait til tomorrow to see Baylor RUTS Buffalo.
  • Louisville/UVA while watching ECU/VT....i want to see if the UVA D v UCLA is the D we can expect going forward. Louisville will test that.
  • Grorgia Southern could maybe beat GT. I wouldn't be shocked.
  • Charlie Weis/Cutcliffe...Kansas vs Duke and it's not the Final Four. Charlie Weis might just quit after.
  • Miami knew it would have to lick it's wounds after the Louisville road opener. They get Arkansas St in their 2nd straight scrimmage.
  • GA/USC-E. USC-E has had a very battle tested start. They face a 2nd loss in 3 games when they face Todd (Heisman Top 5) Gurley. But USC-E did get their first 3 games at Wiliams-Brice where they had won like 20-some games in a row before Texas A&M waltzed in there and put an end to that charade. So UGA won't be at all intimidated.
  • Iowa State/Iowa will play in the battle for the CyHawk trophy....check out the one on the right, I'll leave your imaginations to do the rest.

  • At night the games are UCLA/Texas and Tennesse/Oklahoma, and were this 1998, I might be more interested.
  • Fort the coup-de-grace, at 11pm begins Nevada-Arizona. You can nap off the effects of the VT game and probably catch this whole thing. Spread city.

Cates is going to back with his special look tomorrow at the weekend. Just thought I'd give you an early dose! We'll be continuing our ECU coverage up thru early Saturday. Stay with us at GC, where we're doing all we can to inform and entertain! One more day!
