Darius Fullwood commits to Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech adds another to their 2015 recruiting class.

Darius Fullwood

Just a day after announcing his decommitment from the University of Kentucky and in the aftermath of a weekend visit to Virginia Tech for the Georgia Tech game, talented defensive end Darius Fullwood has committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies. Fullwood took to social media to announce his decision Wednesday afternoon.

Though Fullwood long spoke of Ohio State as his dream school, after the Buckeyes elected to go in a different direction, he committed to the Wildcats in a private ceremony at his home in the Washington D.C. metro area. The Olney, MD product had been thought to be high on the Hokies prior to the decision as well, but UK had all the momentum when he made his first announcement. After visiting Blacksburg this past weekend, the situation changed for Fullwood.

Fullwood checks in as the 18th ranked weakside defensive end in the 2015 recruiting class. He grades out as the ninth best player from the state of Maryland and the 402nd overall player in his recruiting class. All rankings are courtesy of the 247Sports Composite rankings.
