Big time defensive tackle prospect Tim Settle committed to Virginia Tech after an announcement at the 2015 Under Armour All-American Bowl Friday.
Settle chose the Hokies over other finalists Louisville and USC.
Settle hails from Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Virginia and is one of the most sought-after defensive tackles in the nation measuring in at 6'3", 330-pounds. He's listed as a four-star prospect by 247Sports and the 7th best player in Virginia. He is certainly a major talent by any measure.
There are however concerns that Settle will need to prep a year to get his academics in order. Unfortunately, it always opens up the possibility of a de-commitment when you extend a kid's recruitment another year.
Tech defensive Line coach Charley Wiles and defensive backs coach Torrian Gray were the lead recruiters on Settle and they'll no doubt work hard to maintain this big-time pickup.
