Here's a look back on Virginia Tech's recruits and their performances this week of Friday, October 23rd. Only one bye week this week, mentioned below.
Jovonn Quillen (Hampton, VA. 185lbs, 6'-2", Athlete)
No video, sorry.
Hampton remains undefeated after erasing Menchville, 56-0, all points coming in the first half. Quillen only played into the second quarter, and had a day of 4-6 passing, with 82 yards. He threw two TD passes to Dazz Newsome (brother of Deon Newsome), and had a touchdown on the ground.
Victor Greene (Spotsylvania, VA. 215lbs, 6'-0", Outside Linebacker)
No video, sorry.
Unfortunately for Vic Greene his Courtland team was downed by King George, 19-14, dropping them to 6-2. They still can get the top seed in the conference, though. Greene ran for 17 carries and 101 yards, but no touchdowns. Yep. He's getting recruited to play OLB.
Reggie Floyd (Manassas, VA. 205lbs, 6'-0", Athlete)
No current video, sorry.
In a battle of completely defeated teams, Osbourn Park dropped Stonewall Jackson, 14-13. This sent Stonewall to 0-9. No stats, sorry.
Eric Kumah (Woodbridge, VA. 205lbs, 6'-3", Wide Receiver)
Kumah's Forest Park Bruins won 30-28 on the last play of the game. Kumah was, as usual, a freak of nature, totaling 9 catches for 225 yards including a 96 yard TD catch. He also included 2 carries for 16 yards but seriously, 225 YARDS IN A HIGH SCHOOL GAME. Ball on, Eric Kumah, ball on. He's quickly approaching Samuel Denmark as my favorite recruit in this class.
Joshua Jackson (Saline, MI. 200lbs, 6'-2", Dual-threat Quarterback)
Jackson didn't have a game this weekend, but he was down in Blacksburg on a recruiting visit. The team he was originally scheduled to play had to cancel, ending their regular season officially as previously mentioned last week.
Divine Deablo (Winston-Salem, NC. 180lbs, 6'-3", Wide Receiver)
Sorry, no video.
Deablo's team got back on the winning track on Friday, getting to 5-5 after dispatching Parkland 49-15. Deablo had both a 4 yard TD run and a 29 yard pass reception for a TD.
Phillip Patterson (Virginia Beach, VA. 180lbs, 6'-2". Wide Receiver)
Ocean Lakes unfortunately beat Bayside, and badly, 58-6. Ocean Lakes is LOADED with players for the 2017 recruiting class, including Tahj Capehart, Khalan Laborn, and Eric Crosby. No stats on Patterson, but Ocean Lakes is yet again a major team to watch next year.

Samuel Denmark (Charleston, SC. 175lbs, 6'-0", Wide Receiver)
Hanahan beat Beaufort, 41-19. ...Yeah, I still love Samuel Denmark. He had a fly sweep (?!) touchdown, along with multiple receptions for another score, including some fancy footwork on long passes.
Jimmie Taylor (Jacksonville, NC. 220lbs, 6'-3". Defensive End)
(doubles as local coverage)
Unfortunately, Southwest Onslow was obliterated by Croatan, 47-7. As usual, no stats for Mr. Taylor.
Troy Pride, Jr. (Greer, SC. 165lbs, 6'-0", Cornerback)
Greer destroyed Southside, 48-14, putting them at 9-0 and winning their conference. Pride had three catches for 20 yards and a TD, but didn't have much in the way of kicking or punt returns- the highlight you see above was called back by the penalty.
Thomas Jarrett Hopple (Suffolk, VA. 270lbs., 6'-6", Offensive Line)
Sorry, no video.
Nansemond River beat the pants off the King's Fork Bulldogs, 42-6. Their running back ran for 186 yards on 20 carries.

Tavante Beckett (Chesapeake, VA. 215lbs, 6'-0", Outside Linebacker)
Indian River blanked Hickory, 44-0. As seen in the highlights, he had a pick-6 on a jumped route and at least a couple of tackles. No paper stats, though.
Clay Dean (Purcellville, VA. 255lbs, 6'-2", Defensive Tackle)
Sorry, no video.
Woodgrove beat Park View, 52-0. As usual, no stats.
Myles Wolfolk (Upper Marlboro, MD. 185lbs, 5'-11", Cornerback)

44-7 Final
— Wise Athletics (@WisePumaSports) October 24, 2015
As usual, Wise Athletics does a good job of getting things out, and it shows that Wise beat Bowie 44-7 today. Wolfolk had both a 2-pt. conversion and an important INT on a fourth down play, and of course a 21 yard TD reception.
Emmanuel Belmar (Suwanee, GA. 220lbs, 6'-2", Outside Linebacker)
Unfortunately Collins Hill lost to Mill Creek, 42-17. No paper stats, but he at least had one big TFL, and a sack/and/or forced intentional grounding.
Patrick Kearns (Rome, GA. 270lbs, 6'-5.5", Offensive Line)
Yet again, Darlington bagged a win, this time over Armuchee, 44-6. They're now 8-0.
Khalil Ladler (Bradenton, FL. 168lbs, 5'-10", Cornerback)
IMG Academy played Paramus Catholic (one of the historically best high school football programs in the country) and won, 28-20.
Tune in next week for more high school updates!
