Demetri Moore Committed and Signed with Virginia Tech!

Huge pickup for the Hokies as Demetri Moore, Ju-Co Offensive Lineman, signed his letter of intent Thursday evening.

Michael Shroyer-USA TODAY Sports

Demetri Moore is a 6-6, 285 lbs offensive tackle out of Mississippi Delta Community College. The Junior College prospect holds 12 offers including Georgia, Mississippi State, Auburn, Kansas State, and Cincinnati. His primary recruiter was the Hokies new offensive line coach Vance Vice, which did a great job of selling his new institution and bringing the Hokies a talented, big, physical and athletic offensive tackle.

I project Moore to stay at tackle for the Hokies and compete for the starting job from day one. I think he is best suited to be on the left side of the line due to his lateral quickness, long arms and wide base. Demetri is the second Junior College prospect to sign with Virginia Tech within the past week as he joins Jerod Evans the nations top dual-threat quarteback.

A quick note about recruiting: Justin Fuente has hit the ground running and his staff has done a great job of evaluating, visiting, offering and closing on some very good players for the Hokies in the last month. I expect to hear more news out of the Junior College ranks as the Hokies will look to sign as many players as possible to improve depth and talent across the roster.

Go Hokies!
