Troy Pride Jr, a defensive back prospect from Greer, SC, has committed to Virginia Tech. He is the third defensive back to commit to Coach Torrian Gray and the Hokies for the 2016 class. Pride was at the Hokies most recent junior day event, which was a huge success for the program as many 2016-17 prospects left campus feeling good about Virginia Tech.

Pride is currently unrated by 247Sports, but in our opinion is probably a mid to high 3* prospect due to his offer sheet; however, on the field he plays with great speed and has the length to move up in the rankings, especially as he gets more offers.

The Virginia Tech coaches did a good job of identifying Pride as a prospect and getting him on campus following his offer.
Go Hokies!
