Samuel Denmark, a wide-receiver from Charleston, SC has committed to the Hokies. Denmark is the second prep star from the Palmetto State to commit to Virginia Tech in the past week.

Denmark is currently rated as a 3* recruit by 247 Sports with an overall rating of 85, making him the 11th best player in the state of South Carolina for the 2016 class. He has received looks by nearly every ACC school and holds offers from Wake Forest and the Hokies. At 6'1 and 175lbs Denmark has plenty of potential to be a solid starter in the ACC and will get many more offers in the coming months, especially since he committed to the Hokies.

Virginia Tech has done a nice job of getting the 2016 class underway and will look to add depth at nearly every position. Many of the current commits are very underrated or under-the-radar, which has always been VT's style. We feel that many schools evaluate at a slower rate that Virginia Tech, which is why so many of Tech's offers/commitments are shortly followed by many more offers from other Power-5 programs.
