Frank Beamer and his staff received some great news yesterday regarding one of their 2015 commits.
According to @247 Sports Evan Watkins, Jahque Alleyne, a three star prospect from Virginia Beach, will be admitted to the university on Friday. He needed to complete one more summer class before reporting to Blacksburg.
Alleyne played multiple positions in high school. Seeing time at safety, wide receiver, and cornerback. He was ranked by @247 Sports as the 21st best player in the state of Virginia and the last enrollee for the Hokies.
It will be interesting to see how Beamer will use Alleyne once he arrives. The offense needs play-makers, but envisioning the 6ft-1 commit in the secondary seems too enticing to pass up. There is a possibility that some of the players on defense might leave early for next years NFL draft. In that case, Bud Foster may need Alleyne sooner rather than later.
Out of the Hokies 23 commits in 2015, eleven of the players were from the state of Virginia. Here are Alleyne's junior season highlights.
