In 2000, Gameday visited BBurug for the tilt between the Ramblin' Wreck and the 10th ranked Hokies. The game never happened, as described here, and Lee Corso lost his rental car deposit. The last time Virginia Tech was featured on College Gameday was on January 3, 2012 in New Orleans, LA.. It was the Sugar Bowl against Michigan, and yes, it was a catch. In 2007, Virginia Tech pulled the rarest of the rares, a back to back appearance on the show. The Hokies hosted East Carolina to open the season of Gameday, then the next week faced L.S.U. for the featured matchup. In 2009, the Hokies were playing Alabama in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game in Atlanta. This would mark the end of our appearances in a opening weekend preview, until now.
Don't worry, @VT_Football -- we didn't forget about you because it's on Monday. We'll be in Blacksburg this Labor Day for Ohio State!

With ticket prices already approaching OMG levels, something popped into my head. What would make the ticket even hotter at Lane Stadium? One could argue, that Metallica playing "Enter Sandman" live, would take it to the next level. I would like to see an important jersey retirement. Andre Davis perhaps? Apparently Tech is all in with this one, so lets own it. Name the indoor facility after Beamer, and be done with it.
Cheapest ticket on StubHub tonight for Ohio State's opener at Virginia Tech is $289. #Buckeyes
